Online Grading is not only an amazing feature that saves time for your parent/teacher, it is also an educational tool you can use to reduce mistakes, increase learning and gain independence!
Here’s a basic outline of how it works:
- As always, you will use your textbook to access each lesson’s problems and will work them out on paper/in the book. (The problems do not appear on the screen.)
- As you solve each problem, you can check your answer in our system for accuracy and make corrections as necessary.
- When you have completed the assignment, submit it for grading. Your parent/teacher will receive an immediate email with an overview of your student’s results on the assignment.
Here’s a more detailed example of how to use Online Grading:
- Log into their Student Account.
- Using your book to find the first problem of the assignment, solve it on paper.
- Check your answer in our system by typing it into an empty field.
- You should receive immediate feedback of “correct” or “incorrect.”
- If the answer was correct, you should celebrate and move on to the next problem.
- If the answer was incorrect, you can rework the problem to find/fix any mistakes and enter a new answer.
- A link to the lesson where that problem’s concept was originally taught is easily accessible and can be used to review the concept as needed.
- When you have completed all of the problems and checked all of their answers, click “submit for grading.”
- Your parent/teacher will immediately receive an email showing which assignment was completed, how many answers were correct, which answers took multiple attempts, which answers were incorrect and more.
