How do I select my student's course?

Modified on Tue, 3 Mar at 6:50 PM

Choosing the right course for your student is simple and flexible. At Nicole the Math Lady, you can assign your student’s curriculum, textbook, and starting lesson directly from your Parent Dashboard.

Most families begin by selecting the curriculum they plan to use (such as Saxon Math or Singapore Math Dimensions) and then choosing the appropriate textbook for their student. If you are unsure which level is best, many curriculum publishers provide free placement tests that can help you determine the right starting point. These tests can be printed and administered at home and usually include an answer key and placement guide. You can find detailed information about placement tests and curriculum selection in the Understanding NTML section of the FAQs.

How to assign your student’s course

  1. Log in to your Parent Dashboard.

  2. Click Course Settings on your student’s card.

  3. Select the Curriculum (if needed).

  4. Choose the Textbook and Edition.

  5. Select the Starting Lesson.

  6. Click Save.

Your student can begin working immediately after the course is saved.

Can I change the course later?

Yes. A Math Pass allows you to change courses if needed. Many families adjust the course after getting a better sense of their student’s level or learning style.

If you decide to make a change, simply return to Course Settings and update the curriculum, textbook, or starting lesson.
